BeitragThema: Re: Big City Lights    Mo Jul 09, 2018 6:31 pm

With soft humming, Minx switched off the miniature monitor in his hand and pulled a clip-like cable from a cracked open electricity box on this rooftop. It was an amazing view, almost 100 metres above the ground on a skyscraper. It was not that dark, as the flashing advertisement signs colored parts of the city in all kinds of luminescent light, up here however, not even a passing flying car would have spottet him. Not without heat detectors or something like that. Minx neatly closed the cable box again and put the monitor in his hidden backpack. Of course the name Minx was not his idea, it came from a time about two years ago when he had started doing more openly killing, burglary, sabotage and stuff. As his all-black suit hid most of the equipment on shoulders and his hips/thighs, his waist seemed thinner in comparison, so the first times media called him a female culprit, he even had heeled shoes to get an easier grip on edges and to hook himself on borders. In the meantime, no one was sure who or what he really was, as he was never leaving much evidence behind aside from his trademark – a yellow pawprint, mostly on blankets, victims clothes or furniture so that no one dared to claim his job; Minx got paid for it so no place for competition here. His face or hair were also always hidden, even his flashing yellow eyes so that no one could recognize them.
Today was an easy one, as long as he was hurrying a little. A moment ago, he shut down the whole alarm system of the building, so no break in would be setting off the intruder alert. There was not even a surveillance robot or human here, even though there were many important people living in this apartment, lower floors had shops, a mall and other things. However, his target was only four floors below the roof, and after switching off the security system, Minx just cracked open the door to the staircase and slipped downstairs. Ten minutes he had maybe, until someone of the controling department of police or even those pesky hunters would notice something was wrong, maybe only seven. The hallways were dark, as he had switched off movement detectors and automatic light too – in complete darkness even the cameras were useless.

The full-blooded cat humanoid took out the monitor again to calmly open apartment door number 3214 and soundlessly entered the luxurious apartment. The blinds were closed, only a few standby lights from electric tools were shimmering through the dark. Under his leather hood, Minx' ears shifted to less human, pointed cat ears, so he could easily hear where his victim was – bedroom to the left, alright. It was an easy one, his prey unknowing, sleeping in peace next to his ... well, too young to be this politicians wife, probably his bitch. No interest here, it took a second to sting a tiny tiny needle in that mans lower back, he didn't even seem to notice and did not move until the phial of venom was fully emptied in his body. The moment he would wake up and leave bed standing up, his heart would just stop beating and his lungs collapse, a quick and painless death, maybe hours after Minx already left. He removed the thingie, chuckling on the inside thinking of all the autopsy people trying to find out why a man in his mid 40s, always very energetic, athletic and holding great speeches against the current mayor of this town, suddenly suffered a heart attack out of nowhere. Maybe they would blame his affair. There was no cure against this poison, even working on poisonous fullbloods of another humanoid animal race, so even with his prey still breathing, the cat lifted one hand and a paw-like colour pad turned up from inside his gloves – he only had to put the stamp on the politicians night shelf for the cops to find and sigh about, leaving the yellow pawprint in luminescent color and then turned back to swiftly leave the apartment again. He would go back the way he came and just flee over the rooftops like he always did.

What an annoying day.
Gabryel (And wasn’t it a shame that he was named after one of the archangels. Not the fighting Mychael but the healer? Pity who would underestimate him.) clicked his tongue and sat down on the roof. One leg was swaying while the other leaned against the high tower he was sitting on.
His green eyes scanned the city, both of them glowing in the dark while he listened to Mychaels rambling about keeping the city safe. Punishing the traitors. Savouring the peace. Lessening crime. Yada. Yada. As if one of them really wanted to hear one of those damn speeches the man seemed to pull out of his ass. All glorious and patriotic in a town that was full of parasites and scum.
Gabryel hated this city. He hated working in it because every corner was a hotbed of sin. “Gabe.” There were burglars, murderers, prostitutes wherever one looked. Most of the times “GABRYEL!”
“What?” Gabryel growled into the comms, clearly annoyed to be interrupted in his moody thoughts.

“You sitting on one of the towers again, glooming over the way of life?”

He wasn’t glooming.

“I’m doing my work.”

“He’s doing his work.”

Gabe suppressed a second growl when he heard a second voice chirping in. Sometimes he wanted to kill Uryel. That man was insane.

“You miss out the fun, it’s our day off!”

As if. It was just one of those nights Mychael tried to remind everyone of the dangers the city was in, encouraging everyone to do better. They weren’t a freaking boyband. While they feasted there were crimes out there. Crimes that weren’t solved.

“Leave him be. He’s just pissed that he hasn’t caught the kitty cat. How’s the antidote for that poison going, Gabe?”

It took all his willpower to not take out the comm in his ear and crash it between his metal fingers. He just wanted to open his mouth to tell them what was on his mind when he caught a movement. Fast, dark clad and way too gracefully to be anyone else.
He knew that jumps. Knew that movement. The Minx was on the run and damn if he wouldn’t catch it this time.

“Sighting something. I’m on the heels. Gabe out.”

Gabryel could hear his comrades yelling in the comms for one second, the next it was shut off. He didn’t care if they believed him or not. His scans indicated that he was right.
A smirk formed under his mask. With his eyes he was able to see through night vision. It filtered out the flashing lights and he could only focus on the person.
“Come here kitty, kitty. Let me skin your little annoying ass.”
Gabe wasn’t angry that he still hasn’t figured out the poison. He really wasn’t.
Without second thoughts he followed the cat. Maybe he was able to trace it’s hide.

With his senses on alert but already a little less tensioned as his job was done, Minx returned to go back the way he came. He even shut the apartment door softly, so no one would suspect anything by just passing along, and then was on his tiptoes taking two steps at once to go back up to the roof. He normally was operating in high levels, not feeling as safe on the ground where even a human was able to run fast – but up here, requesting incredible jumping and climbing abilities to get from A to B? No, Robots and those horribly annoying bunch of self-proclaimed angels. Until now, he had avoided them mostly, of course there were a few times where he had to shake them off or even fight, but never had to openly fight one of them. It was sometimes close, but ehm, being faster than anyone else was his biggest advantage. Never had it been to close to make it out in one piece, not only avoiding to fight and kill one of them (Minx actually didn't like killing that much, being the reason why he didn't kill brutally or in a cruel way) but also to be demasked by those bastards. They were much more dangerous than the police, sometimes better equipped and a hell more annoying. Stupid good-doers, rumors had it they even tried to find an antidote to his most beloved poison. According to his sources, there still was none, which was good ... it had taken a long time to perfect this poison, so it was effective, not gruesomely cruel, and giving him delay before anyone even knew there was a corpse in spe. With an antidote, the last part would be his downfall as there would be time to heal those people. Minx was on his guard and already working on a Plan B in case of the antidote really being invented one day ...

Right now he was hopping up the completely dark stairs up to the roof, where he stepped out in the light-polluted night. His ears had shifted back to a human, slightly pointed ear, but still something grabbed his attention and made the slim yet fully trained body dodge in alert. Oh not again, they got faster with every time, how was that even possible! However ... it was just one. With a Button-push on his mask, he was able to smell again, normally protecting his delicate senses and also making his breathing unhearable to victims. Now his breath could be heard, but he smelled that damned angel wannabe and he was damn too close. His voice was mechanical, as the mask was making it unnatural sounding like a robot, unable to be recognized as humanoid, male, female or whatever. He was not sure if that man even noticed him, but he was coming his direction.
"Oh fuck it.", he murmured to himself, dodged to the side and started running between the air conditioning blocks on the roof. Maybe he just wanted to look what was going on here, if it was not for his extremely sharp senses and the adrenalin for the kill ... he might even have missed that armoured figure. Shit, really. Minx didn't know much about their equipmant or who had what, so he just hoped to be unseen as he reached the End of the roof and just jumped down.
Only a few feet of free fall, then his gliding wings snapped open, a legitimate mean of transportation like flying cars and hoverboards, with small round edges for quick maneuvring. He flew a very close round around the building, hoping again to distract his unwanted shadow, and aimed for another, lower building about 200 metres away to land on and hide. No time for a planless chase now, had he ...

Gabe wasn’t angry with his friends, even if he really wanted to strangle them now and then. Well more like mostly all of the time but that wasn’t important now. He wouldn’t fight alongside with them if he didn’t like them.
In fact he would give his other eye for them too if it came to that.
The Minx was a problem. Not only did he think that it was dangerous to give someone like that a nickname, something to hold onto. No he thought that it would only encourage a being like that to commit more crimes.

It was a shame that the Minx had worked that long under their noses. It wasn’t an easy catch, it wasn’t even a catch they could do. The annoying little thing had always slipped out of their hands. If only Gabe was able to find an antidote. Everytime it seemed he was near something happened and he was snapped back again to point zero. It was a personal matter now.

Either the person was able to smell him or something had set it off, it was moving fast. Gabe didn’t acknowledge it as a female, that thing could be everything. It clearly was a living being. Still could be anything.
He adjusted his eyes, one of them not his own anymore the other one enhanced. It provided him with informations about the person, scanning backgrounds and dragged every available data into a secret folder. He would look at it later, if he wasn’t able to catch that thing he would have something to search for. Every detail count.
Minx used some gliding wings, Gabe was always astonished what gadgets that thief and murderer was using. Clearly there was someone behind all that. They needed to catch the Minx to get to the man or woman or thing behind.
He hadn’t thought about the Minx hurting itself at all,it had managed to survive that long, a little fall wouldn’t kill it.

For a second he considered jumping too, but remembered that he wasn’t equipped for that right now. With a heavy sigh he opened the panels on his back, could feel a searing pain when his skin dragged and parted only to reveal a set of gigantic wings, black feathers with blue and green shining, almost like one of the extinct magpies.
He wasn’t using them much but he was born with them. Flying was as easy as breathing.

“I can see you. Come out and I might think about catching you unharmed.”

Gabe could indeed see it. His eyes had caught the warmth, a slight movement. Minx was good, but not as good as them together.

Well, the inner conflicts of this filthy seraphim pack was sadly not helping, they still were annoying and much more effective than most of the police. They even caught some of Minx' rivals, people who were also doing stuff for money but weren't lucky enough to escape these guys here. A scary thought, there were horrible stories about risons and 'behavior-forming training camps'. Police was incredibly bad at catching criminals but when they did get one, the treatment was said to be horribly harsh. Or the self-proclaimed angels killed them on the spot, which almost seemed to be the better choice. A name or not, he did this not for the fame or something – it was just a job like every other job, being so well-known only had the advantage to get more clients wanting him to do their dirty work.

And now he had one of those bastards in his neck. Only his senses had allowed him to notice him that early, fullblodds had become pretty rare on the streets in the last decades as most of them were valuable enough to work in higher positions or developing medecine, it was not common to see one in the streets, working in shops or, as Minx was doing when he was not running around destroying lives, in redlight quarters. And this paid enough in combination to have the most recent equipment like the gliding wings, as Minx was unable to have prothesis or other modification – his morphing body would reject it and possibly even die. Working with someone always had the risk of betrayal, so he was working alone. Period.
As for now, he fled to another roof to bring some distance between them and to analyze what to do, he was not comfortable having a seraph on his heels so close. Well how interesting... one with actual wings? That explained how he could get here so fast, probably, Minx was not sure if he had met this one here before. It looked tasty, birdies were a nice snack, but well he was able to follow him like that, having a huge advantage with natural wings. Well, fuck.

He narrowed his eyes to notice the technical advantages this man's suit had, probably having scans and all so Minx was not that well hidden, out in the open and without much shield. However, the demanding voice that reached him made him chuckle in aan unnaturally way thanks to his mask. His own wings were already hidden, and with a soft 'ching' sound, razor sharp claws pierced his gloves. It was not his own claw for sure, never leave DNA like that, and one could see venom-filled veins running through the titanium claws ready for close combat. Only then, Minx left his hideout and stepped quietly in the open, almost provoking his enemy to come closer.
"You think you can so much as lay a finger on me?", the mechanical voice asked softly, his body looking relaxed but in an all tensed ad prepared state, "Please try, I dare you."
They both knew what his poisons could do to his victims, even a slight scratch in skin could kill. This man's suit looked strong, but was it strong enough to resist his claws? Still ... Minx would never ever provoke a real fight or stay here for longer, as he was sure soon to be surrounded by those stupid bastards. The sooner he got rid of this one, the better, and if the man was hesitating and giving him the hint that he was scared to approach ... Minx would run again to flee inside the building, where wings and height gave no advantage to this guy here.

It wouldn’t be something that Minx needed to know.
All that mattered was that they were good in what they were doing. Three of them with military background, the rest, well. No one needed to know where they learned their skills.
As now one needed to know that Gabe was working in retail during daytime, the perfect cover for their little circle. And wasn’t that funny to watch Mychael trying to sell some underwear to a woman, blushing like hell all the time. At least that didn’t get tiresome.

The behaviour forming training camps as the Minx called it were good for those criminals. Even if some of them never got out of that. The archangels only killed those who deserved it and wasn’t to be rescued. They would pay for the crime of murder one day too.
The Minx could be proud they hadn’t figured out yet how to contact it, else they would have set up a trap weeks ago. Gabe wasn’t sure what they would to with it. It was clearly too much of a risk to be sent somewhere. They would figure it out when they got it.

Gabe was in fact no bastard, his parents had been both of higher status. Myk too, well should be as they were both brothers. Just that Myk got his wings from their mother, flaming red like that of a phoenix dying in flames. Gabe’s were unique. There were telltales of one of their ancestor having those kind of wings, just that this one turned out as one of the bad guys. Gabe didn’t want to think of himself as that but he could see the patterns. Hell sometimes he even wanted to switch just to do as he pleased, not wanting one of those scums alive.

The voice of the Minx didn’t give any clue what it was.
Pitty. It was harder to kill something one knew the gender and name of.
Gabe almost laughed when he saw the claws unsheeting. If the minx thought it would be easy to kill him, it was mistaken.

“Safe that for someone who cares not to die for Justice.”

As if he was afraid of dying. It came with the profession. Myk would be furious if he died, maybe the rest too and they would hunt that thing down, making it suffer for killing one of theirs.
Without waiting any longer he let himself drop, waiting for the right moment to open up his wings again, this time aiming one of them at the catlike figure, feathers shooting out of his wing like knives. They were filled with a slight sedativum. Not one he created, but one his own body produced.

Everyone with a little dirt or blood on their hands knew how dangerous those guys were compared to the police, but also without comparison no one in the right mind would ignore the threat they were. Of course they were despised among the darkened streets but no one ever got to find out how to eliminate them, life had been easier before they came up to take a stand against "evil" or what they called it. Minx didnt really care as long as he was not in danger himself like he was probably now.
Those camps or prison were something he really was a little scared of. Being a fullblood and independent cat, he couldnt stand being captured, unable to get out, to run and move, it was something that would kill Minx sooner or later. He didn't like to take another life, but he would to preserve his own freedom and do much worse trying to get it back once lost. That guy wasn't truly thinking he could catch him alone, was he?
Many had tried to fool Minx, be it that he was contacted without the intention of him doing a job but rather be killed or caught, or someone trying to fool him not paying what he asked for. In their digital world, Minx never had to meet his clients in person, only via the darkweb, no payment, no job done, never exchanging who he was or who his customer was. He didn't care who wanted to see that politician dead, be it his betrayed wife, his rivals, envious lower ranked politicians? In the last three years, Minx had killed over 120 people, only about 80 were claimed by his pseudonym. So yeah, there was much on the line if this feathered pal was really getting a grasp on him.

He was not scared. It was easy to see that he was not, underlined by the words – a heroic one, eh? Or a suicidal one not caring to throw his life away, minx did not want to kill or fight him, but prepared to do so to secure his retreat. Minx chuckled, his sensitive nose picking up all of the man's scent as his wings were spreading his natural smell. His blood was strong, it wouldn't be easy to spill it.
"So you'd die for me? How cute, we just met.", he replied and dodging a little as the angel's body was swooping down, then firing a broad salve of feathers at him, what the hell! Minx didn't hesitate a second as he made a huge leap to the side, evading being hit by the feathers and rolling over his side to get back up immediately. Once more, he took cover in between the roof buildings of air conditioning and technological storages. The next moment, a steam bomb detonated silently on the ground he stood on, filling the air with hot steaming fog. Heat scanners would be hopefully confused by it and normal vision as well, as Minx could hide in the white clouds for a few moments.
A rattling noise gave away his position, as he had broken in to another staircase and lept down to escape inside. The light flickered and went on, hurting in his eyes, but there was no time to make the whole building go dark. Two floors below he left the staircase again fleeing to the apartment hallways, switching off the mask so no breath was hearable and running around a few corners. As he found a good spot to both hide and flee again close to a fire exit, Minx cowered in a corner and calmed his vital signs. After a few moments, the lights went out to save energy as no one was moving again, but his ears and eyes were extremely aware where his hunter was. It probably was not that easy to get rid of him, however, he liked this little cabinet where some electric boxes and control panels were.

A little dirt?
They didn’t go after the little lights, leaving them for the police. They only went after the bad ones, the mean ones, those that caused more destruction than any being should. Murder was nothing he would approve of.
Prison would kill the cat? Well then goodbye. It had chosen it’s own way, without being forced by a third party. Why should Gabe feel sorry for it?
They already had found out that more than those 80 were from Minx. Maybe they had overseen one or two but they sure knew that cat was way more annoying than the police already knew.
For someone not wanting to take another life it was clearly trigger happy with it’s happy poison there.

Gabryel knew that he shouldn't have gone after Minx alone. Myk would be furious and no one wanted to be scolded by the god of war.
In fact death would not be as scaring as Myk’s wrath. Not that he really wanted to die. No one in their right mind would really want to die.
Well nice, maybe he should have showered before jerking off before the hidden mission. (He would call it hidden mission, no way he would admit that it had been hide and seek to not get involved in the damn party).
The damn kitty cat was good. Way better than he had thought. His eyes were scanning like mad and he could feel a slow headache rising. This really wasn’t his day.

“I would also take out some ropes and handcuffs just for you.”

Two could play this game.
He was sure that normal ropes wouldn’t help a bit against it, but he had enough thin rope for any being in his sidepockets.
Hopefully the cat hadn’t got some of his feathers, unthinkable what he could do if he took the sedative and duplicate it. Gabe was sure someone as skilled as the founder of the poison would be able to do something impossible like that.
He growled when his vision was blinded from the steam bomb, his eyes not able to adjust as fast as he wanted, gritting his teeth he followed the sound. Damn cat.
Without hesitation he followed the sound, entered the staircase and activated his suit. Stealth Mode would be the best in this hallway.

“Come out, Kitty. You aren’t scared of a little bird are you?”

Gabe almost purred. Somehow- that was fun. It was long ago that he had needed to chase someone alone.
His wings were a huge disadvantage, but he couldn’t just morph them in. It would be too hurtful and would took a few seconds for him to regain his strength again. He tucked them against his back as neat as possible.
Somewhere he had a feeling he would still need them. In his hand a knife he opened door after door, shielding the whole thing with his wings, as they were big enough that the lights wouldn’t go on. The server rooms made it difficult to find the cat, but he would manage.

Yeah being a big light had its disadvantages, Minx had to admit that. However, he did not see himself as one of the bad guys, just someone willing to take money from people to fulfill their darkest desires. Be it sex, theft, someone dead, if it was not Minx who did it, those people hiring him would do it themselves, maybe more brutal, bloody, inhuman. It was better to die from the hands of a professional who held no personal grudge towards his victim, because he never wanted to make anyone suffer. It was supply and demand, and he chose to walk this path, yeah ... and therefore would do anything to save himself from prison. Nothing was more dangerous than a cornered predator, was it? The fullblood knew since the beginning, that on the end of this road he chose, death was waiting. Sooner or later, but well, later was of course better, right?
He was lucky, until now only one seraph had appeared and no backup was in sight. He didn't know that all the others were partying, that he might have been so lucky to meet none of them today ... well, Karma was a bitch sometimes. Minx chuckled again in amusement, but was not having the time to ask more about the angel's bondage fetish as he had to jump away. There were ropes to even bind a fullblood, sure, he didn't want to try it out. Minx was unaware that those feathers were even more than creepy throwing darts but also filled with sedatives, but even if, he had no opportunity to steal one – finding out a poison's chemical structure howevver was not that hard, right? At least not for Minx, but he had a thing for poison since early childhood.

The bomb did its job, he was able to slip away in safer grounds ... for now. He didnt hear the hunter anymore but that meant nothing. Without being stopped, he found a hiding place and prepared himself, no matter if someone was coming or not. Patience was also one of his strengths, he could wait for hours if necessary, until he was sure no one was lingering above the door waiting to strike him down.
For a while, Minx heard nothing. He had thought about switching off the lights everywhere, as he had electrical wires here eeeeverywhere, but was not sure if that would rather help him or the bird, so he did nothing. There were many apartments on this floor, so the chance he was found by accident was higher than he wanted, so Minx prepared. Alright, hes partly a shifter, partly cyborg. Suit is mechanical as well. Good, then he had a plan, and soon after heard the sound of opened doors outside.

In the very moment the Bird opened his hiding spot door, Minx threw a little thingie at him with all his might. It was nothing poisonous – just an EMP. It was a weak one, one he once stole from police equipment because they were perfect to deactivate even the strongest electrical doors, but not strong enough to switch off artificial organs. Minx was not sure if his enemy had mechanical heart, lungs or such, a stronger EMP could kill him then. This one however would probably be just enough to deactivate some suit functions, making him vulnerable to his now following attack. Minx dashed forward, jumping directly at his enemy with flashing claws. He had exchanged the dangerous venom inside them with a potent muscle relaxant, no matter if wings, a part of the suit breaking under his strikes or another point where the poison could get into his body – Minx would try everything to hit him there.

Of course it wouldn’t see itself as a bad guy, no one did.
That’s why the angels existed. To show them their faults and bring justice.
The others wouldn’t appear, not without a warning signal from Gabe and he wouldn’t ask for help. There was no way he would acknowledge the failure to catch the Minx, not after everything the cat had done to him and his reputation.
Not long and he would be a laughingstock. Not able to break the damn code of the poison.

Death was waiting for everyone. No need to be dramatic. Gabe wouldn’t have mercy with the Minx. He sure had respect for the work, he loved to meet some genius, but stood mostly with the good ones. Not villains.
GAbe wasn’t quite sure what he would do if he really caught the Minx. He had had fantasies about trying the poison and antidote on the person itself, if it was a person but that was just plain cruel. He wouldn’t do that for real. He wouldn’t kill it either.
Perhaps Gabe would bind him and really put him in a cellar and wait for something to strike.

It would be interesting to find out the structure of the poison and nope, it was not that easy for everyone. In fact he tried to figure this one out for weeks, not helping that the poison was a fleeting one. With a few drops of the real deal, not in a body but pure. Well. He could work with that.
Gabe was never one to wait. There was a rush, a struggle inside of him, not able to relax like that. The hunt right now. That’s what got him living.
With a small predatory smile he reached for the door, each and every was empty. Damn. He was about to open the last door and peer inside when something hit him on the chest, instantly switching off his eyes.

“What the-”

Suddenly surrounded by darkness, as both of his eyes were artificial, one completely and the other one repaired that he was able to see again, Gabe took a step back. Not a second later he was attacked, heard the attacker and felt the change in air but wasn’t able to defend himself for good. Panic washed over him, growled through his body and soon there were claws on his suit, tearing a good part of it and sinking into skin. Gabe hissed and tried to shove the attacker with his wings, instantly feeling that something was wrong, wrong, wrong.
Shit.
His body went numb and for a second he feared that he would die from the poison, sinking down on his knees, his wings spread wide as they were somehow captured in the damn wires. Gabe couldn’t free himself, his body betraying him once again open and vulnerable and completely at the stranger's mercy.

Oh well, some of the other bad guys were proud of being bad, emotional and angry about the world, where Minx could just shrug and just do his job as a professional. Sure it was wrong, but eh, this was a game with different rules. He was just pretty good at playing and seemed to have luck today, no reinforcements so far and the blackbird here didn't seem to have called for them either. One was still bad but better than two or more of them...
However, no need to be so harsh to himself – no one knew the formula aside from Minx, and the traces he left inside bodies were small. Some parts of the venom were more fleeting than others, making it impossible to guess how much there was originally in a combination. There was an antidote, of course there was ... for Minx himself. It would not work on anybody else because the fullblood had build his resistance against poisons for over 20 years now, for anyone else the antidote would just be too weak to save their life. No one knew his poisons better, so there would be a lot of fun for Gabe to test it out on him, heh ... if he ever got to lay a finger on him.

The seraph was careless, or at least not fast enough to prevent him from falling to his doom. Well, not doom, Minx as said was not up to kill him after all, but managed to get the upper hand in a matter of seconds. He was not even mad to be underestimated like that, having his Fight-and-flight-mentality pay out again.
It didn't seem to kill the angel either, having many electrical functions switched off, even Minx' wings would not work for a certain period of time due to the EMP. Even his voice-changer lost parts of his function, it still could alter his voice a little as not every part of it was electrical, but mechanical, however his voice was not as changed as it was before.
The angel retreated, stumbling with beautiful wings unable to push his attacker off. Minx went for the neck-shoulder area where two plates ran together, grinning in content as his claws dug through the material like it was nothing anymore. The pointy things wouldn't hurt him much, maybe sinking only a few millimeters in his flesh until the uncontrollably swung wings wiped Minx off. He was careful, there had been dart feathers in there so best he didnt get hit.

Minx was still ready to defend himself but relaxed a bit as his enemy fell to his knees. He even got entwined in some cables as he had obviously no control anymore – the relaxant was working well as it seems. Minx got back up, stepping closer to his victim and then grabbing him, dragging him into the cabinet completely so he could shut the door for some privacy.
"You impress me.", he said, his voice strangely metallic but now obviously that of a man, as he reached out to caress the stranger's chest with soft gloves, "Don't worry, I just paralyzed you, it's nothing deadly. Even if you offered to die for me."
He chuckled and then broke some glow sticks to put on the floor in soft reddish light. The EMP of course switched off everything inside the server room too, so at least the wings would not get contact to electricity and maybe hurt him badly, but it was dark aside from the glow sticks in here.
"However, you freaked me out a little.", he said in a scolding tone as his hand slipped down to gently fondle his catch's crotch, "I think I'll make you pay for that."
It had been a while for him to get such a brat, Minx was incredibly picky with his mates and this one at least was very interesting, of strong physis and, well, he had to teach him a lesson to never do that again. His other Hand found the handcuffs the Angel was talking about, so with a swift move, Minx bound him to some metal bars supporting the server boxes. Not good enough for his enemy's normal state but enough as long as he was paralyzed – he had fifteen minutes, maybe a bit more, until the effect would vanish all alone.

Gabe was no cruel man, he wouldn’t torture the Minx with it’s own poison. But he would love to get his fingers on the real deal and the antidote. It was a work of art and he could shamelessly admit that he was awed by it.
He wasn’t careless at all, maybe more tired and exhausted from the day. He hadn’t thought about really going on a hunt tonight, just wanted his peace after hordes of schoolgirls trying to find the right dress for their homecoming party. Exhausted and pissed to be fair.
They had bothered him the whole day and not even left during closing times. He sure as hell didn’t know how Uriel and the rest could be that happy to stay the whole day in the store and talk with people. Humans and Creatures all alike.

That still wasn’t an excuse why he lost against the Minx. Maybe would even die by that criminals hands.
Normally the Minx wouldn’t fight therefore he hadn’t thought about sharp claws piercing his skin. It hurt for a second, the Creature able to find a weak point within seconds. Gabe didn’t even think of the poison in his wings, not able to hold back the panic, now kneeling on the floor, dragged into the room. Exposed to whatever it wanted to do to him.

Well not it. The voice was clearly male now,not that he could see anything. “Lea- Let me go and I won’t hunt you down.”
His voice was raspy, breathless, he didn’t want to sound like that. He hated how fucking weak it made him to not be able to see anything. The last time this had happened he had lost everything dear to him. (except Mykael, but that was a curse itself). He could feel a hand on his chest, tried to jerk away but his movement was slow, almost drunk. He had no control over his movement, was amazed that he could still do something but it was hard, way harder now. Gabe could hear something breaking then a thud on the floor.

“What are you doing?”

It was a failure to point out his weakness but Gabe was sure the other man had already seen that the light in his visor was out, leaving him with unfocused green eyes looking around the room without seeing something. He couldn’t hear quiet movement without the mechanic in his suit, cursing that he hadn’t inherited all the powers lying in his family.
With a sharp intake of breath he felt the other one touching his member, where did he? No. He couldn’t know that Gabe was fond of males, why would he know something like that? It itched him that the Minx wasn’t a woman. He never got it up with a female. Not that he wanted with the Minx, not that he wanted with anyone at all in the moment. Suddenly his hands were jerked over his head, bound with his own cuffs and Gabe growled, ripped out of his thoughts.

“Take your dirty paws off me or I promise you I will find and kill you.”

Minx was surprised as well how easy it was to disable his opponent. He didn't know the reasons for it and well, would never underestimate oneof those featherguys, but never expected to turn the tables so quickly. Any other fault and this could also be his own downfall he was sure, but right now, it made his pounding heart calm down a little. Minx had even been in the store where some other half-bloods and such were working, it was a good store because they had also special fabrics and cuts for morphing people, taking into account all their special needs so Minx was there sometimes, they had good stuff. But this man's scent here was unknown to him, never exchanged a word with that unfamiliar voice, but still no stranger. They had been enemies for a long time, studying each other trying to find or avoid. Now they finally met and it ended up with the Bird hanging in his claws like with broken wings, radiating the smell of panic and adrenaline.

With the glow sticks, Minx was finally able to see a bit more. He was surprised to see the other man's eyes totally unfocused, just as he seemed to blinded by the EMP. So he had integrated scanners and was totally dependent from this? Oh my, then the EMP had been really mean but giving him another advantage.
"You're a horrible liar.", Minx replied, well, there were like a dozen other angels to hunt him then, what was the good part of the deal here please? Besides, he didn't believe the so-called saint. His victim moved so blurry, it was really impressive he was able to move at all – it was a strong one, and it made him very interesting to Minx. He made a 'ssh' sound, seeing how confused and disoriented the angel was and not wanting him to freak out, there was nothing bad happening. Yet. Still, his eyes looked beautiful in a clear and strong color, hypnotizing the cat for a moment before he fondled his prey somewhere else.
The angel didn't shriek, just breathed in sharply. How peculiar. Still, Minx decided not to take off the other man's mask, not wanting to destroy this illusion as it was both protecting and comforting their real identities. Just chaining him up, that was unavoidable, as Minx was not sure how long this excellent physique would be paralyzed. His claws were long gone, so nothing sharp was getting close to someones precious parts.
"Now now, don't take your mouth too full.", Minx replied, "You already found me, didn't ya? Tell me, how did it turn out?"
Sure, he was provoking the man, not only with his words but also teasing fingers, looking for a way to open the suit down there. It was not that well protected and he soon found the opening device, purring in delight as he slowly opened it to reach his destination. Minx had no idea his victim preferred males, if he knew he probably would not have chosen this as punishment.
"Let me have some fun with you, and then you're free to go.", he murmured and then slid one gloved hand in the suit to gently massage the pretty decent shaft he found hidden there. What a luck he always had some condoms with him, because well, leaving DNA inside this nice little ass sounded nice but may have backlash on him. His hand grew bored soon of massaging, sliding deeper over his balls and dam until he found some cute little hole to tickle teasingly. Mh, he smelled delicious, making Minx really get into it the longer he was close to this angel.

Yeah, yeah. He could be proud the little Minx that he managed to catch a big bad bird.
It wouldn’t take long for his suit to fight the EMP, Gabe knew that it already worked on updating but he also knew that he would still be offline for at least ten minutes. It was beyond the pale. Damn Minx.
He could be glad that no one of the angels got a nice nose as his, to smell their enemy. They had other powers. Sure some of them could smell better but not like that.
Gabe would have never thought he would be the one losing against the cat. It didn’t seem he would die so soon under those hands to the sound of a not so bad voice. It was kinda soothing and that wasn’t something he liked right now.

“If not me, one of my brothers and sister will avenge me.”

That was something he was sure of. Since him and Myk lost everything they fought together with their little group and were fiercer than any other group before. Nothing would stop them.
Gabe was glad that the Minx didn’T took his mask, didn’t look for his persona to track him down. Which could be an indicator that he would be killed. Well. What a pity it was that he would be the one found dead with his pants around his ankles. Not an icy virgin, huh. Not that he was one. It was just something the rest teased him about. Just because he wasn’t whoring around.
Gabriel tried to get his breathing under control, deeper now and tried to focus on his movements, on his limbs. There must be a way to fight the liquid in his body.
“Turned out as if you need to learn that I don’t bottom.” He growled through his mask, tried to wriggle away from the touch and at the same time not. He wasn’t giving the man that satisfaction.
“Let me live long enough and I show you what you get from harassing me.”
The Minx was way too fast to open his suit, as if he already new how to open it. Gabe failed the information away for later use, if he was still able to.
Gabe bit on his lips to not groan into the touch, could feel his member twitching with interest. Nope. Seriously? What a traitorous body. Inwardly he sighed, knowing that he couldn’t avoid it at all. He wouldn’t give the man the pleasure to fight back, relaxing his body. Not that he needed that much. The man wouldn’t have pleasure with his muscles not working. Have fun fucking a lax hole. Gabe would still kill him but let him pay beforehand. One eye for an eye, eh?

Oh Minx was very proud, now that he was not that terrified anymore for sure! Still, the fact that he chained Gabe up showed that he was not sure if this was enough, that he'd be motionless for long enough, so it still might be he had to retreat quickly. Fortuna was on his side, the fullblood never unaware and always careful not to leave traces, blood, his scent for anyone to pick up – being a cat he knew how valuable it was to remember someone just with the nose. He chuckled softly.
"You're being overly dramatic. I told you already that I won't kill ya, right?", he said.
Would be a total waste anyway. All of those featheres bastards were chasing him for months and months, why should this threat make it worse? It would be so easy to kill him right now, or demask him and let the information get to all the other criminals losing partners and comrades to the seraphim, to let the problem solve itself. It was just not Minx' style and would, well, ruin the fun. He was a cat, he had his playful side and inner drives.

While his opponent spit out words (as his body was not able to fight back obviously) Minx had opened his suit. Not that hard as all suits needed some freedom down there for little breaks in the bathroom, it was nothing special, he just had to figure out how to get the thick black protectional leather off.
"Oh? Sorry, dear but you're not in the state of being on top, so ... I've no choice~"
It would be fun leaving him alive, really. Minx' animal ears twitched happily as he felt the meat in his fingers harden a bit, reacting to his fondling. The angel already gave away he didn't bottom, which may mean he already fucked men before, right? Oh his lucky day. It was even better that he was more relaxed down there due to the stuff running in his veins, because if not, it could be pretty painful. But right now? Minx increased the pressure to feel one finger slip inside very easily.
"Mh, you're so soft inside.", he purred, adding a second finger to test how far he could spread him open already, "Sure that there are no others pleasing you frequently?"
Yeah he was just being a little mean, it felt tight even with the relaxant, no way he could have had someone inside in the last time. With his free hand, Minx took something from his thigh pocket and opened it – it was a lubricant, well, an oil he sometimes used to veeery quietly open metal cases or shrieking doors. It smelled a little mechanical but well, no need to be picky here. He let the oil dribble down his gloved fingers, guiding it into the spread hole and twisting his fingers gently to spread it on the beautiful little muscle ring.
"So tell me ... should I fuck you like this, looking at your eyes cute as they are, or would you prefer being taken from behind?"
